About Me

Howdy,

I am a 27-year-old Student, who currently resides in Laramie, Wyoming. I have traveled extensively throughout the states in a nonconventional manner prior to returning to Wyoming to further my education. I enjoy art, of all kinds, and appreciate seeing various approaches to diverse media and interpreting their cultural and social implications.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When traveling, I feel that one gains a greater perspective of another's community by engaging themselves directly with those who live there. Staying at a hotel and seeing the sights with a group of other travelers does not particularly interest me. I enjoy the insights of the locals and experiencing their community through their eyes. I also enjoy the concept of reciprocating this experience to those coming into my community.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Everything really. I've been into punk/hardcore music for the majority of my life, but my palette for music is pretty diverse.

Movies: I love independent films, B-films, cult classics, satire, and witty comedies.

Books: I could go on for days on this one, but I'll save that conversation for other book nerds. Recently, I've been into work by Murakami, David Foster Wallace and the various texts I read for classes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Everything I do is amazing... at least that's what my grandma tells me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think these are relatively synonymous with one another. One learns through teaching and being taught, we both teach and learn through sharing and we learn and share from being taught. I guess, the nominal bit of wisdom that I offer through this is, be a perpetual student and teacher.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will happily share food, beer, perspective, laughter, time and space with my hosts. I would also add, that I am more than happy to share in the labor of any household chores/projects, that the host may need assistance with.
