I am a curious, optimistic and open-minded guy, who hates describing himself :-D I have just finished my studies (German Language und Literature) and I am going to be a research assistant at Düsseldorf University. Besides I work as radio reporter which I love because I meet new people and places almost everyday :-)

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I would like to get to know foreign places not from the typical "tourist" perspective but from people who actually live there and therefore "are" the place. I am curious about discovering those little secrets of a place and especially its people that are not to be found in a travel guide.

What are people in that country like? How do they live? What do they eat? What are their interests? - All questions I think I can answer best by couchsurfing.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I love electronic music, R'n'B and Soul and all kinds of independent music. Some artists I listen to right now are: alt-J, AlunaGeorge, Kendrick Lamar, NAO and SOHN.

I guess my all time favorite movie is Pulp Fiction. I just love the subtle, hilarious dialogues :-D Other than that I like all kinds of movies, no matter if sophisticated arthouse cinema or super trivial comedy.

I have to admit that I hardly read. Kind of shameful since I studied German Literature haha... But one book (ok, it is very small) I absolutely love is Le petit Prince (The little Prince) by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry - So much deep meaning hidden underneath so simple words! And I love the Harry Potter books... Of course! :-D

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I spent half a year in the USA. First for a semester at university, then for travelling the whole country. Still proud of it because it was my very first stay abroad for such a long time.

I come with an always open-hearted good mood :-) I can teach some German and tell a lot about our culture... And the mixture (and confusion) of German and Philippine ways of living.
