I'm an operations manager for a small fleet of ships based in Amsterdam, though in the past I was a musician and arranger. Currently, I’m traveling through Western Europe.

I've stayed in hostels frequently while traveling and always enjoyed hearing the narratives of other people's lives and sharing my own. Couch surfing is a new concept for me, one I am eager to explore.

I enjoy writing stories and songs, I also enjoy learning to cook different varieties of food, specifically South Asian cuisine.

I'm especially fond of post-bop jazz and experimental electronic music of the 70's. My favorite book is the Epic of Gilgamesh due to it being incomplete and the frequent discovery of new passages. Some of my favorite movies are "Ansiktet", "Orfeu Negro", and "The Third Man", though I have a special place in my heart for the Planet of the Apes movies. I'm very fond of the works of artists like T.F. Šimon and Margaret Bourke-White.
