About Me
Hello! I just recently graduated from University this year with a Computing Science degree! Let me show you how fun repressed nerds can be. I now have the time and freedom to do all the traveling that I desperately need to do. I want to go around the world and meet awesome new people. I've been told that I'm very easy to get along with, which honestly surprises me. I am very trusting. I have no problem taking a leap of faith on nothing but a gut feeling.
I own a software contracting company:

Also, I've been vlogging my trip across Japan (October 3-24, 2016) here:

I also have a 360 camera where I share the photos on my Facebook page:

I hope that gives you an idea of what kind of person I am?
Let meet and be friends!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm looking around for different alternatives to hostels and hotels. Couchsurfing also seems like a good way to meet interesting and cool new people!
Interests
I tend to enjoy doing things that can also be done solo. I like to go on hikes, go bicycling, go skiing, and swim. I like things that don't cost a lot of money to do. I try to write a few lines of code every night before I head to bed.

Music, Movies, and Books
(The following are just the first three in each category to come to mind!)
Music: City and Colour, Bon Iver, The Cinematic Orchestra, Childish Gambino
Movies: Big Fish, Good Will Hunting, Interstellar, The Guardians of the Galaxy
Books: Norwegian Wood, Never Let Me Go, Stargirl, Calvin and Hobbes
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once fended off a mugger with french fries.
One time, when I was having lunch at a Venezuelan Wendy's, someone pulled a knife on me demanding 'dinero'. I thought that 'dinero' meant 'dinner' so I gave him my fries. He gave me a look you would give to a retarded seal and simply walked away.
So 'dinero' is spanish for cash.
If that doesn't give you an idea of who I am, I'm not sure what else will.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am interested in culture and getting to know the local places that I visit.
I can play guitar, ukelele, and a merlin so maybe we can play some tunes as well!
I can teach spoken Cantonese and a bit of Mandarin, although my Chinese reading/writing is very rusty.
I am always eager to learn and experience new things!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am an independent software development contractor by trade. Not sure if that will come in handy while couch surfing, but I am very good at what I do. I don't mind helping around the home and working for my stay either!
