About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To help people

ABOUT ME

I love to travel, meet new people, write new music, watch movies. Salsa dancing is my hobby, and French is my soon to be second language.

PHILOSOPHY

Never be angry with people, just be angry with the situation. People are naturally good intentioned.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can host if someone really needs a place to stay and I have a free weekend, most of my time is busy with work, I have three weeks in the summer and three in the winter to vacation, and some holidays in between.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met a backpacker going through Belgium, asking to stay at my place, I said yes. She was one of the most pleasant, happy people I've ever met, always smiling, and always happy. That is when I found out about Couchsurfing. I learned so much more about traveling on a budget. Those few days were quite a learning experience.

Interests

Salsa Dancing, surfing, writing and performing music, bungee jumping, skydiving and BASE jumping.

Music, Movies, and Books

Dan Brown novels, The Color of Water, most Thriller movies, and comedies

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first visit to Switzerland was quite amazing! The lakes in the mountains are ice blue, so clean you could drink from it unfiltered. The tap water is the best I've had in my life! The Street Parade hosted every year in Zurich was awesome! The Busking Festival in Berne was so much fun! There are so many nice people in Switzerland, some who are now friends for life! I'm going back to Lauterbrunnen to visit some BASE Jumping friends!

Teach, Learn, Share

In Mons Belgium, my current city, there is a lot to do, the people are generally kind. French is almost a must know in the southern part of Belgium. The Nightlife scene of Marché aux herbes can be unsafe as fights can break out there. I recommend Waterloo, Brussels, or Antwerp for nightlife. The country has a different festival almost every weekend in the summer, and for the harvest, the beer festivals are top notch. There's always something to do if you're passing through!

The Neuhaus chocolate factory has a gift shop where you can sample all of the different chocolates and sweets they make (be careful there's no limit to how much chocolate you can sample)! Belgium is a beautiful but small country of great beer, waffles, and parties (Belgians are party people!)

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Cuba, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States
