About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm a pretty down to earth guy, my girlfriend and I recently ventured over to europe as she got a job au pairing for a family in Turin in Italy and I wanted to come to the UK and attempt to find work in my dream field servicing/building guitar amplifiers (hopefully) after finishing my studies. I'm into my music and going out to see gigs, love a drink now and then but also a pretty relaxed guy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After completing an Adv Dip in Electronics and Communications Engineering and working several rather boring jobs in Australia I've recently relocated to the UK in order to look for work in the music electronics field and as such I'm trying to avoid locking myself into a location in case an opportunity presents itself in another area of the country. I am also trying to save a bit of money, should my hunt for employment drag out!
Interests
Music is far and away my biggest hobby. As well as listening to music I love playing guitar, Irish banjo, writing and recording songs, I've been in alot of bands and played alot around my home city of Adelaide, I also love going to see local live bands. I even brought my banjo with me to attempt a bit of busking while I'm over here!

Music, Movies, and Books
This is a pretty big question...
I'm into all sorts of music from Early 90's grunge to Irish Folk to 70'sGlam Rock to Electronic Music.
Main influences would probably be Smashing Pumpkins, Sonic Youth, Nirvana, The Melvins, Zeppelin etc.
Some of my favourite movies are:
Anything Tarantino
Anything Kubrick
Anything Scorcese
A Field In England
Goodbye Lenin
Wake in Fright (great 70's aussie film)
The Jungle Book
James Bond
Blue Velvet
etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2012 a friend and I took the trans-mongolian railway from Beijing to Moscow which was really awesome. That is probably the most interesting experience I have ever had. The whole trip amounted to something like 2 weeks on a train. The second half of which included a General of the Mongolian army being on our carriage and forcing copious amounts of vodka upon us. Needless to say it was a blast!
Teach, Learn, Share
