About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Recovering from a sporting injury, hoping to be able to run in the not too distant future. Learning to DJ.
ABOUT ME
I notice every time I log onto couch surfing profile that my 'about me' section is very outdated. I think my attitude towards life is ever changing, which I suppose is a good thing, and I do find that most other people on couch surfing have that same sort of attitude, which is probably why we're all here, and not sat alone, on our phones trying to find gratification in something false.
I'm incredibly fortunate to have such a vibrant group of friends, and a massively positive and loveable girlfriend (Liv, you'll most likely meet if we're lucky enough to be granted entry onto your couch!) and I am very grateful that I get to work as an Assistant Prodcer on UK factual TV programmes, some with great substance, others very exciting.
I have quite a sensible head on a day to day basis, prioritising early mornings and a healthy lifestyle. When the time is right, I love to get as weird as my physical and mental limits can take, and enjoy doing so along other weirdos at weird events and festivals. Aside from this, being around nature, history and all things cultural and artistic is where I like to find myself when I'm on a trip away from home. Fingers crossed you may be able to help me along the path to travel happiness!
PHILOSOPHY
Positivity.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I participate mainly by sleeping on peoples sofas as the flat I rent in London has a guard dog of a man as concierge. So as I can't entertain guests at mine, I try to entertain hosts at theirs.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My most recent couch surfing experience, with Boris from Israel, makes me want to stress the importance of going to Israel and couch surfing with Boris! That was late in 2019. Before that I've been on several hitch hiking and couch surfing trips over periods ranging from weeks to months. Can't really have more fun than that.
Interests
I like to adventure, just be generally out and about, be with friends, travelling.
- festivals
- exercise
- traveling
- music
- djing
- open water swimming
Music, Movies, and Books
Being a film student I am often asked which my favourite is and I often reply 'No Country for Old Men' but the list never ends, whether it's British produce like from the work of Shane Meadows, foreign films such as 'La Haine' or more experimental artisitc films like 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas', and of course I'm as much of a fan of all things Tarentino as the next person. My passion also lies with drum and bass, deep house and the lesser commercial aspect of dub-step. Anything which isn't pop/chart music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The one most amazing thing I've done spanned across 7 days. Boom festival 2014 in Portugal expanded my mind to a whole more positive and interconnected way of thinking, it was the most amazing experience and from it I gained a girlfriend.
Teach, Learn, Share
I haven't played myself in a while but i still have the rhythm capable to teach any kind of percussion, but mainly the drum kit. And i'm really eager to learn a language and even more keen to learn to DJ. I also like to learn about fitness, exercise and dieting, although it isn't essentially 'fun' to talk about.
Countries I’ve Visited
Bulgaria, Cambodia, Cook Islands, Cyprus, France, Greece, India, Israel, Kenya, Laos, Netherlands, Scotland, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, Viet Nam
