About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Be happy and make others feel happy too.
ABOUT ME
I love life!
it is great we can feel, think and act.
the biggest passions and inspirations for me are exciting people, travelling and music and, well, creativity and adventure in all possible forms: in daily life, work and "long-lasting" pieces of art.
Was born in Leningrad, USSR
(now Saint Petersburg, Russia)on 03.02.1987.
During childhood lived for around 6 years in western Europe
as my father (he's a mathematician) worked there at universities,
including Greece, UK, France,
3 years in Germany at Bielefeld, started kindergarten/School there
2 years in Italy at Torino, continued school there, 3-4 form
after that studied at the Classical Gymnasium in Saint Petersburg,
where among other subjects we studied ancient Greek and Latin.
In University (State University of Saint Petersburg) at the Economical Faculty I studied mathematical methods in economics (game theory).
To see the world from different point of views i worked on different jobs: as a waiter at a 5 star hotel, economist at a factory, realtor,
translator, knowledge manager at a digital creative agency,
now work in telecommunication and I like that.
PHILOSOPHY
It's interesting how different aspirations and ideas can come along with harmony in our lives, like say revolution and conservatism, how respect to the culture and wisdom of previous generations can live in harmony with the breakthroughs and transgressing to the unexplored territories. For me dogma is bad and open-minded tradition is good, when you understand why what is happening and can react accordingly to each and every situation and each and every person individually. I mean itâÃâ¬Ãâ¢s all about the good vibrations and being here-now. Simple as that.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
To really feel the culture of a country hotel is not a way around for sure. Hostels are better, but it’s all about people after all so while travelling I prefer to stay at friends or friends of friends houses. This project is all about finding interesting people while travelling, what can be better? I have not yet participated by myself in CouchSurfing, but many of my friends have and I think it's amazing so now I'm ready for it too!
Interests
Travelling is probably the ultimate overwhelming adventurous experience when your habitual behaviors are
faced with new ways of looking at day-to-day things, that we usually do in a mechanical way and take for granted.
With the help of other cultures you can track your own cultural imprints and eventually find your own self, your own thoughts, believes, aims and ideas. One other very important aspect of travelling for me is the feeling of the unity of all the people in the world, and eventually the solidity and integrity of the world and through that the integrity of myself. And of course the adventurous flow-feeling of something unexpected, hitchhiking, new people, places, information, emotions. it's simply what you can't get out of books/movies, out of nothing other, it is life!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music
I like to play music and listen to it.
music is better than words, as with it you can escape the limitation and look at the world at different levels simultaneously.
I play guitar, bass, saxophone, percussion and everything that can make sounds.
some semi-random musical tags: here-now, groovy improvisational stuff, Nigerian funk, ethnical jazz, psychedelic rock, Indian ragas, kraut rock, classical music
it's best when visceral groove and "intellectual" come together.
One of the hypostasis of the music I listen to you can check here:

Books
well, just some milestones
back to the childhood the first books that changed my life after the fairytales, ABC-book and books with pictures/comics were Orwell, Huxley, and all the anti-utopias (I was really idealistic at that time, now I'm idealistic-realistic), Tolkien, Shalamov and Solchenitzyn (who described their experience in soviet-time prisons), prose of Joseph Brodsky, then there were books "Surely you're joking" and "what do you care what other people think?" by Richard Feynman. Later on I discovered poetry of Lorca and poetry in general. After that not a single book was that life-changing for me I guess (important but not that DAMN-WOW) Now I'm more into music, but c'mon like in the Russian saying "only a fool does not ever change his believes"
Movies
Just a few names: Forrest Hump(good mainstream!), The colour of the pomegranate, The Manuscript found is Zaragosa (fractal stories haha), Jim Jarmush, Woody Allen, stupid funny comedies sometime))
