ABOUT ME

I'm relaxed and laid back (perhaps too much) but I'm learning to be more hard-working. I'm doing a masters in Physics after having lived in China for two years. After that, who knows?I'm always smiling!

PHILOSOPHY

I'm not relgious, but the Golden Rule is a good one: treat others how you want to be treated.Also, Carpe Diem! Although I don't do this enough.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been going along to the footy matches organised by our CS Ambassador here in Hangzhou. I sometimes pop along to meetings. Also, I organised a board games night in Belfast. No-one turned up for the first 30 minutes, and I thought I had been stood-up by people I hadn't even met yet. Almost a new low. But then, lo and behold, 3 couchsurfers braved the Belfast cold to descend on the pub. Joy! Alas, two of them didn't like board games. But, we still had a few pints and laughs

Recently I've been hosting a lot more, and it's been nice to get others' impressions of what the UK and Ireland is like, and also to get ideas for my next trip!

Foot foot ball, footy footy football,When I go see United, I get very excited,When I go see Villa, my view is blocked by a concrete pillar.Playing, watching, playing on the playstation, talking about it. Football.Other: Physics, although, somewhat harder to talk about! I'm fascinated by languages. I can speak Chinese! This fact still amazes me when I do it. I was always one of those people who thought 'nah, languages aren't for me'. but they are! If there are 1 billion Chinese people speaking it every day, it can't be too hard. I spend far too much time on the internet.Beer is also fun.
