ABOUT ME

I think traveling alone is the greatest way to travel. It can be so inspiring and it's much easier to meet new friends! I love meeting new people and getting to know a country through the people who live there, that's why I think couchsurfing is such a great idea.

Music is my passion, I sing and write songs, and also love to lose myself enjoying live music or clubnights.
At times I'm very serious and can be quite melancholic, but I love to hang out with friends and laugh.

My other passion is eating! I love trying new stuff, so if you like cooking, we can be great palls ;). I love cooking too so I can always return the favor.

I can be very diverse I think. One friend describes me as a big moron, another thinks I'm some kind of Jesus, yet another one thinks I'm a cookie and a big homo at the same time (make up your mind! :D).
Over all I love learning new things. Recently I did a course in riding fixed gear bike, very cool to learn some tricks. Right now I'm trying to learn bahasa Indonesia (after all, my mothers language, even though she doesn't speak a word haha). But I think the best thing I've learned is to enjoy life! Even though it can be hard sometimes, you can always have peace in the back of your mind..

I sometimes host, not very much though. It would be great to be able to host more and spread some love :). But my schedule doesn't always allow me to.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Traveled through Java for a month and surfed many couches over there. Had an amazing time. Indonesians are the most hospitable people I've met so far.

Couchsurfing in itself is one of the greatest experiences of my life.

I took Spanish lessons and volunteered in Ecuador. Met lots of inspiring people over there!

A few years ago I visited the places in Jakarta my mother grew up the first years of her life. She lived there with my grandparents and her 7 siblings before moving to the Netherlands.

Went to a Stevie Wonder concert. Genius!

I love life lessons and I believe you can learn from every person you meet. Just be open.
Other than that I want to improve my Spanish and Indonesian and I want to build a fixed gear bike and learn some tricks. Breakdance would be cool too.
