About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel the world and gather as much perspective as possible, and share some joy with people along the way.
ABOUT ME
I am basically a fun loving guy. I like almost any activity from sports to music to discussion to dancing, and generally have a great time wherever I go. I've learned so much in the little bit of travelling that I've done so far and hope to keep learning as I travel more. I'm a Sax player/Musician and I love to play with anyone who's interested in making music. I'm always interested in trying new things and going to new places. There are very few people that I do not get along with.
PHILOSOPHY
Friendliness mainly. I'm a peaceful fun-loving guy and I just live my life trying to be nice and helpful to whomever I meet and try to keep the big picture of my life in mind as much as I can, and not get caught up in little things that are insignificant. I try to appreciate the little things for the beauty that they bring to life.

Music, Movies, and Books
Sigur Ros, Sonny Rollins, Radiohead, Bjork, J.S. Bach, Mozart, Ornette Coleman, Sam Rivers, James Brown, Nirvana, Sly and the family stone, Ray Barretto, Chris Potter, Anouar Brahem, Skrillex, Mos Def, anything I can dance to - Basically I like all music that speaks with honesty of its creator, and any book or movie that inspires me to think and/or has interesting characters.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've played a lot of great music with a lot of talented people. I've taught English to some great kids and adults. I've hiked through trails in the Pacific Northwest (North America) and Japan as well as Korea and Thailand - getting out in the wilderness gives you a whole different feel of a country. But I think my favorite thing that I've done, is simply going somewhere by myself and meeting new people and being open to whatever happens. One of the most exhilarating feelings is having no idea what's going to happen and watching your life unfold in unimaginable fun and interesting ways.
Teach, Learn, Share
When travelling to a country try to learn some phrases in the native tongue before you go, and when you get there, use them. People instantly open up to you when you show an interest in their language and culture. Another thing to do is make friends with old ladies - They'll have your back more than you could ever predict that they will, so treat them right.
Buy people drinks - any arguments or hostility can be instantly eroded before they even exist by the simple gesture of buying someone a drink.
Don't operate under the impression that you are entitled to ANYTHING -because you aren't. You need to expect that nothing is coming your way and appreciate EVERYTHING that is given to you, especially friendship and hospitality.
Take time to smell the roses - especially when travelling, cause you never know if you'll ever get to see those types of roses again.
