ABOUT ME

I've lived in North Carolina for my entire life save for a 3 month stint in Atlanta, GA where I was working as an intern for the Savannah College of Art and Design Atlanta Campus. By day I'm somewhat of a townie. You can find me talking to friends / new friends around a flag pole in the middle of UNC's campus that serves as somewhat of a meeting ground for friendly people playing scrabble. At the moment I'm searching for a new location to call home, but I'm not in too much of a hurry to find it. I guess I'll follow my nose. Life tends to work out if you let it.

PHILOSOPHY

You know Ayn Rand? I try to be pretty much the opposite of how she thinks I should be... except for the work ethic thing. Work ethic is good.

Basically compassion is important and people don't think linearly.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am not quite set up to host right now as I'm about to be on the move traveling around myself. Once I find a home I absolutely intent to host as much as possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Before I found this network I surfed up and down the east coast staying with friends and friends of friends. I once hosted a foreign exchange student on my couch. My roommate's girlfriend was technically the head of the welcome committee for foreign exchange students coming from Europe, but she was on a business trip for her internship. So Nick and I, who only knew his name was Yuen, set out to find him near the airport. Unfortunately Nick's cell broke so we made a sign out of cardboard. I believe it said "Yin?" Yuen was slightly confused, but we found him and got him set up straight off. He was very nice.

I'd say that seeing the Carolina vs Duke game in the student section as a senior was amazing. But, then again, I'm a huge Carolina fan.
