ABOUT ME

I'm Alexander, 31yo from Germany. At the moment I'm a lecturer for steel related occupations.
I enjoy travelling (who here doesn't?), going to festivals and concerts, always up for a roadtrip in my VW Van, enjoy surfing (still learning, but how more cliche can it get!?), meeting new people and trying new things in general. Just started to learn Spanish before hopefully making my way down to South America at some point.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After first trying it in 2014 on a trip through eastern Europe, my experience with Couchsurfing has been great. From cool backyard parties in Bosnia to the busiest streets of Istanbul I was able to see and do things I probably couldn't have done without the locals I've met. These things are what it's all about (for me personally) when going to a new place, rather than staying in anonymous hotels.
