I'm an easy going guy whose great for a laugh. I'd say I'm very honest and kind. My friend's would say I'm wacky and "awesome" (This is more often sarcastic than not :P) I love to get a bunch of friends together and have a good time. Whether it's rock climbing, camping, bushwalking, 4WDing, video games or just a party we always seem to have a good time. I love meeting new people and sharing stories. I also love sharing music :)

I'm laid back, honest and sensible.
I have a degree in biotechnology, worked in pathology for three years and now back at uni doing my masters in nutrition and dietetics.
I have a cute dog called Henry. He's a miniature dachshund (sausage dog) and he is a super chill dude who unfortunately is not travelling with us.
I have been travelling internationally a few times before; South East Asia '09 (Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia), Indonesia (Bali) '11, New Zealand '12 (Queenstown- for the snow!) , UK/Europe '14 (just a quick contiki tour)

Europe 2016:
Myself and Josie are travelling Europe for 5 months from March till July! We are in search of awesome hiking, waterfalls, old cities, fun people and good times. We'd love to check out some small quirky music festivals.
We are both rock climbers and are very keen to check out the local crags in the places we visit.

I've hosted half a dozen times before and all were really fun! I love hearing stories from around the world and getting great ideas for where I'll eventually travel too.

I'm really excited to experience more couch surfing and meet lovely people :)

Alex
I love music. I play a bit of guitar. I studied computer science at univeristy and enjoy rock-climbing. I try (badly) to snowboard, and I love the outdoors; bush walking, hiking, camping.

I really want to explore the best hikes of the world.

Josie
I love skiing and have taught myself to snowboard (which I'm very much a beginner at!)
I love reading, running, hiking, riding my motorcycle (a little Honda cbr 125) and cooking in my free time.

Books: Old-school science fiction, Action, travel/adventure, philosophical.
Movies: 80s-90s action (Lethal Weapon, Die-Hard), Comedy.

Josie
I mostly listen to alternative music, but like a bit of everything (Alt-j, Sia, Haim, The Preatures, to name just a few)
I love to escape with a fantasy or sci-fi novel (Ian Irvine, Raymond E Feist, Karen Marie Moning)
I enjoy a good brainless action movie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Pulling a guy out of a burning car was cool to look back on.

Um, not sure I can top that! ^ but I love hot air balloons, and we went for a ride in Cappadocia, Turkey and it was as amazing as I had hoped!

I like the concept of this section :D
I have a vast knowledge of Wine and Whiskey (just get me started :P)
I'm pretty smart with coffee and speak small amount of Japanese.
Most things computer/code related I'm well versed in.
Also I could definitely teach the basics of self-defence.

Josie
Ask me anything about nutrition! I also love discussing the latest research in genetics and sports science areas. If you have a kitchen I would love to cook for you, especially gingerbread or anything chocolate based! :D
