ABOUT ME

What we do: We both have a pre-university degree in cinema. Next semester, Alex is entering Concordia's (Montreal university) art-based communication program. I (Keira) decided to do a second degree in music (jazz voice) before going in social work in university. As with jobs, Alex is a part-time librarian in one of Montreal's public library while I have been a camp counselor for the past few summers.

What we love: Keira=tea, music, cinema, sitting in the grass taking in the sun, walking without a precise goal, jamming with myself on the street, eating (something sweet preferably), drinking and having fun, studying and learning...
Alex=reading, taking pictures, dancing (beginner swing and ballet), watching tons of movies and reading articles (culture-junkying), going out...

PHILOSOPHY

To nurture a desire to learn, share, discuss, be curious and conscious of what's going elsewhere or closer to us. To (try to) build something that lasts!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are looking for couches in the central-eastern section of Europe and in Turkey this summer. From the month of august 2012 we will both be interesting in hosting so if you'd like to visit Montreal one day, keep in touch!

PLEASE NOTE that we are looking to have a FRIENDLY interaction with our hosts. We simply want to communicate and share with people around the world... that is what brought us to couchsurfing, and nothing else!

Movies : watching them (The Dreamers, The Pianist, Annie Hall, Carnage, Virgin Suicides, Full Metal Jacket, My neighbor totoro, Kind of «Gore film/zombies/low budget/unknow director/...»(Alex) just to name a few) but also making them. One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Keira : touring Italy in 2008 was one of the richest experience of my short life

Alex : at the cost of sounding like a complete tourist; feeling the historic weight while standing under the arc de triomphe in Paris or in some street of the Old London. Watching the sunrise over the Machu Pichu was also a great 20 minutes of wwwwwwwoooooooouuuuuuuuuaaaaaaaaaaaah.
