PHILOSOPHY

There is a bigger picture than myself and it is my responsibility to make sure that I live an environmentally friendly lifestyle because everything is connected.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hopefully on a couch near you with friends and (sometimes) my kitty cat, Briley.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used to have an old account in college and we hosted a few surfers and those are some of my fondest memories from college. I met some of the most unique and interesting people, that most certainly influenced my outlook on this world we all live in.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Over the last two years, I have been rebuilding and converting an old GMC, 27ft diesel school bus. She is affectionately known as "Busita" or "Lil Busie." This bus conversion is one of my passion projects. It started in New Orleans - with a single, vintage suitcase and now it has grown to be a bus. I am building a wandering pop-up shop and collaborative art space. I am building it predominantly out of found, gifted and/or unwanted items and materials I find throughout my travels and adventures. I found and bought the Lil Busie in Maine, USA and started rebuilding and converting her there. Since acquiring Busita, I have adventured with her all over Maine and New England, down the east coast and home to New Orleans. Most recently, Busita and I adventured over to Austin, Texas for the summer. It was and has been my most challenging chapter thus far within this project. I have been battling a multitude of breakdowns and malfunctions within the bus since departing from Maine, last November. Now, I am embarking on a nationwide journey to find he necessary parts I need in order to fix the bus and get it back on the road again.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am an organic farmer, artist and entrepreneur. I work and play in multiple disciplines. I love photography, filmography and writing. I am a registered yoga teacher and a professional flow artist, specializing in hula hooping. I relish patterns, colors, nature and natural things, decaying things, historical sites and any eye-catching beauties. I love history and anthropological topics and sites - especially forensic, cultural, and burial sites and excavations. I try to eat clean (for the most part) and I am a pescatarian. I love learning from people I meet and things I do and take part in.
