About Me

I am an economist. I have worked in the banking field for 10 years until one day when I've decided that I need to change something. So, I quit my job in order to start travelling. All in all I've traveled for one year in SE Asia and it's been life changing. I am totally in love with Nepal. I have lived there for 6 months in total, and as a result I've got to become a part of that place, making amazing new local friends and got my self a second family. I feel now that amazing country as my second home. As an outcome of my trips, found my path in yoga practice and teaching and allowed myself to start exploring my creativity. So, I now work as a yoga teacher and learning to be an interior designer and I love both my jobs! :)

Love and light!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

During my trips I have discovered that I love being among travelers and people from all over the world, sharing stories, ideas and life philosophies. I have a great love and respect for all the people that make traveling a priority and use all their resources to be on the road as much as possible. So I am on couchsurfing for both myself and helping the backpackers community. Also I know that while traveling I loved spending time among locals, finding out about their lifestyle, their habits, as well as learning about their countries and cultures. So, I would like to be one of those locals for people who decide to come and visit Romania. I think it's always refreshing to meet new people, share experiences and have the chance to interact with different cultures.

Interests

Traveling is the love of my life.
I enjoy doing and teaching yoga.
I love to go to big music concerts and festivals. I enjoy the energy that I find in those big crowds at these types of events.
In my spare time I like doing sports (trail running, biking, swiming, skiing and mountain trips), reading, listening to music or go dancing (love salsa and bachata).

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm into almost all types of music, from old or indie rock to latin music and hip-hop. Music can get me into and put me out of any state of mind.

I could say that I like any Tom Hanks movie.

I don't have a favorite book; I enjoy reading almost any type of books except science-fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I would have to say it was giving up my career in banking in order to travel and rediscover myself. Traveling solo is the best thing I could have done for myself. For me that was amazing because I've finally found the courage to give up something secure with a well known direction for something pretty uncertain. I've always been more of the type of person that likes to know were is heading and now I am just going to let things be for a while...

I have initiated and coordinated a project for repairing a school affected by the earthquake in April 2015 in a remote village in Nepal. (Did a fund raise in order to get the money and then supervised the project making sure that it was completed successfully).

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach yoga!
Salsa and bachata dancing..
Apparently I now my way around the kitchen (at least that's what people say), so I might cook some tasty dishes if I have the time for it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

It would probably be lots of travelling stories and a taste of my home cooked food.
