Hey,
My name is Alexandra, but you can also call me Alex.
I am currently traveling in South East Asia for about half a year while working on my master thesis. So I am kind of doing a work and travel journey, in which I work one hour per day on my thesis and for the rest of the time I am travelling, discovering new places and of course food. I love to try all kinds of food and when I go out to eat I usually order what I don't know yet to try as much as I can.

I am an extroverted person who loves to chat about a great variety of topics. I am particularly interested in culture and history in Asia, but so far I know more about east Asia than other parts of Asia. But that's why I am here! And the best way to learn about it is through personal stories, so I am looking forward to hearing yours!

I also love to cook, so if you want I would be more than happy to share my home cuisine with you!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I wanna do couchsurfing as a way to meet some locals and learn more about their customs and practices. It's the best way how to get to know the live of the people from all over the world.
I also want to start hosting people, as soon as I have some room to let people stay at my place. Right now i am "unfortunately" travelling myself. But I am looking forward to host anyone as soon as I am back home 😊

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I like to listen to music that mixes traditional music with modern music such as electro or techno. But I also like jazz, lofi, hiphop and pop.
In terms of books I like reading biographies or stories about real life. Currently I am reading a book "The world by hitchhiking: 5 years at the University of Life" and a biography of the dowager empress Cixi.
I don't watch many movies, but if I do I like watching documentaries and comedies.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

When I was like 15 years old I have stayed with a hostfamily for about one year in Hong Kong as an exchange student.
My family in Germany also hosted two girls from Costa Rica and Hong Kong for a few months, who I would definetly call my sisters now :)

I can share with you my travelling experience and techniques to learn languages. Also, I can cook for you, such as russian pancakes according to my grandma's recipe (if i can find all ingredients). :)
