I grew up in northern California and spent the last few years in Washington state and Utah. I graduated from university last year, quit my job in the U.S., where I worked in a nursing home with people with dementia, and started working as an English teaching assistant at a school in Styria, Austria. In October I am moving to Vienna to teach English.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet open minded people. I really love the idea of having friends and making connections all over the world. Maybe you can come to Austria and visit me afterwards :)

Interests

I am intrigued by sustainable agriculture and plant based nutrition. I love making music with other people - maybe we could sing together. I also love hiking, skiing, checking out new cities, partying💃 (let’s go do kareoke or go to a gay bar!!) and I love exploring in general.

There are also so many new things I’d like to learn. I am an aspiring mushroom hunter, I hope to learn to swing dance really well someday, I want to buy a pair of roller skates so that I can go to roller discos or for a nice skate along a river, and someday I want to go on a multiple month long backpacking trip - maybe hike the Pacific Crest Trail or the Camino de Santiago.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have WWOOFed, done a work exchange on organic farms in Germany and Austria, where I had the opportunity to meet many people from different places, learn a lot about and gain an appreciation of organic farming

I can help with English or German language skills, I can do the dishes, bake you a vegan cake or buy you a drink as well
