Hello! I'm from Winnipeg, Manitoba and I'm a fourth year university student, studying to be a veterinarian.
I'm a laid back person who likes to have fun! I enjoy staying in and chatting with awesome people, but I also like to go out and dance. I'm part of the UMSwing dance group in Winnipeg and I enjoy dancing Lindy Hop, East Coast Swing, and a bit of Jive. I'm currently trying to learn Blues! I enjoy good music of any variety, but particularly rock, blues, classic rock, and indie rock.
I'm a neat and tidy person, and I love to cook! My favorite food is probably either perogies or poutine, I love red wine, and tea is my all time favorite thing to drink.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I'd love to meet people in the countries that I'm visiting! I'm also a broke student, so saving money on accommodations is a big plus for me, too!
Having done a lot of traveling I'm also happy to open my home to new people and make new friends.

Interests

I'm interested in getting to know people, exploring cities and looking for their secret awesome places. I love to read fiction, and movie nights are one of my favorite things. I like to find new places to dance, and learn new ways to dance.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite types of music are classic rock, blues-rock, and the good older pop songs, from the 90's and early 2000's. I couldn't name my favorite artists, there are just too many! To name a few, Florence and the Machine, The Doors, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Arctic Monkeys, Simon and Garfunkel, The Eagles, Pistol George Warren, and many more!
My favorite movies are ALL of the Disney movies (except Frozen), Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, How to Train Your Dragon, the Jurassic Park movies, and Schindler's List.
My favorite books are Harry Potter, the Lord of the Rings, anything by Michael Crichton, the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, the book Holes, and many more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One day during high school, I was randomly given 6 large zucchinis. I managed to get them all home on the bus WITHOUT a bag, and I didn't drop any of them!

If that's not awesome enough, then I also moved to Denmark from Canada in August to go to school.

Teach, Learn, Share

I really want to learn everything I can about the Scandinavian/Nordic countries before I leave! I love food, so I particularly want to learn to cook in new ways. I love hearing about other perspectives and opinions
