About Me

**We are currently putting our Couchsurfing hosting experiences on hold as we travel. Thanks for understanding!**

Hello! I'm a traveling spouse to Indonesia. I have a strong passion for board games, writing, cross stitching, and sounding silly as I try to tackle a new language. I enjoy hosting, sharing experiences, meeting new people, and of course traveling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My favorite part of travel is the new connections I build with strangers. I get to collect different perspectives, ideas, ways of looking, and building on patterns of our global society. One of the most expensive parts of travel is accommodation, but if I can make that a bit more accessible to everyone then that sounds like a good time to me.

Music, Movies, and Books

My go to movies are Gone with the Wind, Vanity Fair, The United States of Leland, The Piano, and Shogun. Music is pretty broad, but I really enjoy lyrics and wit. Books well, I'll rock just about anything I can get my hands on to give it a go! But I gravitate towards Sci-Fi and Fantasy most often.

My husband really loves Forrest Gump, DJ Avicii, and the occasional non-fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'd say moving to the other side of the world cuts it.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you're looking for some downtime between sight seeing, we have a nice collection of tea, for kicking back and relaxing. Traveling isn't always about being on the go. We have two small couches in the living room up for grabs.

We have two cats! Be careful if you're staying with us and have allergies. One is incredibly friendly and open to human interaction while the other is a bit more of a loner. They are kept in the office during the night time.

My husband is Indonesian and loves learning and sharing experiences of people who are traveling, or have lived abroad as we both have.

We have a great selection of board games we like to bring out and play with company. They can tell you a lot about people, strategy, and creativity.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, inspiration, and news from travels across the world. I've been across America from coast to coast, north to south. I like to teach others about American Culture, and the joys of being an expat. America is a nation that comes into a lot of foreign news. I do my best to represent my country, and explain the diversity of our people. Hollywood often portrays a specific kind of American but we are a HUGE country!

Countries I’ve Visited
