About Me
...still learning... and evolving 🙃😊🙃😊
Extremely inefficient Personal Assistant, caught up in a cold corporate jungle in London ... and looking for a better way of living. Basically directionless, but a real happy sort. I think the expression is 'glass half full type'. Yay!
Oh and I've recently caught the travel bug again, this time after spending a few months in India... besides being fabulously confused about my direction in life, I am also really excited to get amongst this crazy beautiful planet, and y'all ...
...currently looking forward... not back.
Love to party & live to chill, in equal doses, and listen to music in accordance with that. Enjoy all genres depending on my mood .. I'm no music snob. Although plenty of tunes do grate, but on the whole I feel there's a time/place for all music.
I LOVE DANCING!!!!
Food, Glorious Food 😝
Rock on!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Confused ...(first thought which came to mind, not sure it relates) but also really interested in what everyone else is doing and super gung-ho to continue my adventure and hosting seems like a great place to start...
... and also thoroughly impressed with this surfing set-up... beautiful stuff, you people rock. I've spent hours just reading the reviews which are going back and forth.. loads of love
Interests
ENDLESS! I am a very interested person and thoroughly enjoy people and their paths in life (although I also really want to say 'I like having a drink, listening to music and talking shit/shooting the breeze' ... but perhaps too shallow?) Yep, I can be shallow.
Food again.
Dancing too.
Colour, texture, history, architecture... and ALL creative expression (beautiful)
Francis Bacon is my favourite artist - I adore his play on colour, and mind.
and I love to dream...
"There are no rules of architecture for your castle in the clouds" GK Chesterton
Ok, but on a lighter note, I also like to wet myself (most weekends) watching stand up comics on YouTube. My best of best wetting:
Louis CK
Bill Burr
Iliza Schlesinger
Amy Schumer
Gary Gulman (recent discovery)
Murphy & Pryor of course!
Nick Offerman - American Ham (you rock babes :))
Sebastian Maniscalco (another recent fave.. funny dude...)
also got to mention Jim Jefferies (Southern Hemisphere shout out, and he's gooooood.. not for everyone, Aussie humour at its best. ouch.)
I live to laugh. Often at myself. All good.

Music, Movies, and Books
constantly forgotten, until remembered. .. and that cycle repeats... often...
must read more.
...although I did just finish a small book called Sum by David Eagleman, which is a collection of short stories from the afterlife. I took it to mean re-birth rather than death, and some of the tales really resonate with me. Curious, fascinating and abstract.
Harold and Maude is a great flick, also love Breakfast Club, Pans Labyrinth, Interstellar, Oldboy, Lost in Translation, Grand Budapest Hotel, Dirty Dancing, The Wrestler, Shawshank Redemtion (c'mon!), Ratatouille, No Country for Old Men, Sin City, Deadpool, all Bourne, all Tarentino! ... but seriously too many great films to mention... also can't remember...
... ooh yeah, I do love a good horror! with popcorn!
and Life of Pi and The Alchemist were great reads.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Danced in a monsoon & found my spiritual home (two separate 'amazings')
Teach, Learn, Share
Everything 😊
(setting the bar quite high - I actually don't know much... at all.
...good company though... people have told me that)
What I Can Share with Hosts
i want to say me, but that sounds misleading - a thirst for life and of course a thirst for grabbing a drink with someone who knows more than me in a country I know little about ... or not, whatever.. no rules on sharing...
