I am looking to connect with local people as I travel to new places so that I may get to know different cultures, challenge my understanding of the world, and educate myself through experience and making new connections. Throughout my travels I have loved learning new languages, meeting new friends, and trying new food.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like just about any live music, especially small, intimate jam sessions. I like just about anything that has a beat and I can dance to.

Movies are good but I rarely see a new movie these days that blows my mind. I do like: Forest Gump, Pretty Woman, The Big Lebowski, Animal House, Inglorous Bastards, Pulp Fiction, moonrise kingdom, death at a funeral...

I feel it is necessary in our global community to make real connections with people outside of our daily culture. Expanding our awareness and acceptance of other cultures is so important to defy stereotypes and overcome social issues we are facing today. I enjoy learning new languages as I travel. I also love hearing other people's experiences, which inspires me to continue to explore.
