About Me

My name is Alexandra Lamb. I live in Durango, Colorado. I am an anthropology student and a philosophy student. I grew up in Michigan, but I moved to Colorado for the beautiful scenery. I love outdoor activity. Camping and hiking are amazing! I am a laid back, easy going traveler, and I hope to continue to have new experiences my whole life. :) I have a black cat named Merle! Oh and I have a tattoo of a Rocket Lamb. It's my alter ego.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that if you are open to other people, then you will learn a great deal from their experiences. This is why I'm on couch surfing. Also, hosting makes me feel like I am travelling vicariously through other people!

Music, Movies, and Books

Some movies I love:
Harold and Maude, the Departed, Almost Famous, Stand By Me, Do the Right Thing, Cabaret, Mary and Max, the Big Lebowski, Goodfellas, Spinal Tap, the Godfather, the Truman Show, etc.

Music (by genre): Motown, soul music, blues, jazz, funk, classic rock, classic hip hop, alternative/indie. Mainly any music that has some soul and a good bass line.

Books: AUTOBIOGRAPHIES! Oh and, Philosophy books have consumed my library due to my degree. I'm always looking for a good novel though!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I solo traveled through China, and I'm actually very proud of myself. China is an intense, yet wonderful land. I also volunteered with the Elephant Nature Park in Thailand :) They are a wonderful organization. Ok, so that is two things...my mistake.
