Hi, I'm Alex. I live in Boston, MA. I'm very outdoorsy- I spend my free time skiing, biking, hiking, etc. I'm also a big runner- I just ran my first marathon last month in London. I spent a year abroad in college (a semester in France and another in New Zealand), and I also au paired for a summer in the South of France. I currently live in Boston, where I've been working for a healthcare tech startup company, but am going to be starting a new job in July...in the meantime I'm taking a month and a half off to travel- one of my favorite things to do! I'm very friendly and outgoing and I love meeting new people and hearing their stories!

It's great to travel and see new places, but I believe you don't get the full experience when you stay in a hotel! Couch surfing is great because you get to meet new people and make new friends, and experience the culture as more than just a visitor!

My favorite artist is Billy Joel, though I also like some pop music, as well as the Grateful Dead, Simon and Garfunkel, and Irish music.

My favorite movie is "About Time"... and because of it I love dark dining- I've been 3 times!
