I am a recent college graduate who loves meeting new people and having a good time. I am fortunate enough to work seasonally, therefore I have the opportunity to travel and make my own schedule. I will be traveling through Europe April-June with my good friend and roommate named Salina. I have tattoos, a weird sense of humor and friendly personality all around! I promise I won't bite ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet the locals during my journey through Europe and the rest of the globe! I like to eat, drink and play where the locals frequent! I also love making new friends and learning about their cultural background! I am also a very hospitable person and have hosted travelers from Germany, Switzerland, Mexico, Costa Rica and Canada! I have also hosted individuals within the united states from various other regions!

Interests

I am an open minded individual who has many interests, primarily in art and culture. I also like to stay informed in both global and local affairs. Some of my interests include, art, music, film, fashion, working out and tattoos. I consider myself a very social progressive individual, I am a feminist and a supporter of LGBT rights. Music, Movies, and Books

Most of the music I listen to is in the punk genre, I'm also a fan of dark-wave, deathrock, Metal (in all forms), indie, electronic (mostly deep house) and rap. My top five bands that I can't stop listening to would have to be 1) The Smiths 2) Joy Division 3) SWANS 4) Sonic Youth 5) Iceage. I also love oldies and classic rock, I basically love music and collecting records! I'm your typical music snob but enjoy finding out about new bands.

I love films! Some of my favorite directors include David Lynch, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Michel Gondry, quentin tarantino, John Waters, Stanley Kubrick, Tim Burton (his earlier work), Eli Roth, Christopher Nolan, Robert Rodriguez, Sofia Coppola, Francis Ford Coppola,Dario Argento...Just to name a few.

I love reading both fiction and non-fiction. Some of my favorite authors include Sylvia Plath, chuck palahniuk, J.K. Rowling,Karl Marx, Charles Bukowski, bret easton ellis,Maya Angelou, Hunter s. Thompson, Stephen King, Jane Austen, Suzanne Collins, Mary Shelley and the list goes on....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teaching a child how to read, I used to be program director at a non-profit organization called the Boys & Girls club. A lot of the children I worked with came from abusive, low-income families, many of them didn't even take the time to sit and read with their children. I believe that education is important and can be a radical tool to change our environment.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach others useful tools in regards to mental health and well being. I consider myself a life coach and great listener. People often come to me for advice and for a good shoulder to lean on.
I love learning about people and their life experiences, I am a sociology major, so people in general fascinate me! I love learning about different cultures and discovering new artists, food recipes and even cool dance moves!
I love to share whatever I have to offer! Whether it be a good meal, a good story or a joint! I believe in the cheesy phrase "sharing is caring!"

What I Can Share with Hosts

I consider myself a savvy Los Angeles native, I can show you the sights and sounds that this beautiful city has to offer! I have experienced the high end and the underground clubs and nightlife that this city has to offer! Basically if you are between the ages of 21-30 something and love to party and have a good time, I'm the host for you! I can also show you the more relaxing sites that LA has to offer! At the moment I am between looking for apartments, so as of now I only have a couch and cot to offer in my living room! I'm currently living in a four bedroom house with my open minded, hippie mother and my older brother who collects records and lives in his office :)
