Hi, my name is Alexandra! I'm from Kazakhstan. It's located in the center of the Eurasion continent near such great countries as Russia and China. I love my country a lot because of the beauty of our nature. We live in really big country with a unique combination of deserts, steppes, wild forests, clear rivers and lakes, and mountains up to 7000 m. But the most important things are the hospitality and generosity of our people.
I'm an economist. I am always very interested in learning something new for myself. So I'd worked as a journalist too. I think that economics is boring a bit for me (it's only my opinion :-) ). Therefore I decided to work in completely different sphere. I prefered public relationships, marketing and advertising. Why?! I don't know. But I really like this work with a great number of people to communicate. Do you know in what sphere I worked as a PR-manager? Mining!!! Oh, it was so exciting. I was underground (I'm definetely scared it) and above the ground in huge machines. I discovered new details about mining, hard work of metallurgists and miners, which were alien to me earlier!!!
Now I'm working in Holland. I like to be here, to see new life, new people and of course new posibilities!!! I want to meet you, know how are you, where you live and what your interests are.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I started to talk about my country I say that I live in very big and multinational country. More than 130 nationalities live there. It doesn't metter what language you speak, what colour your skin, hair or eyes are. We all are very interesting and unique people. And I really like to meet this people, to talk to them. I think couchsurfing is the best oppotunity to decide all these tasks. Nowadays I continue to study English. I want to improve my skills by communicating with you. I like travelling. But I visited not so many countries. That is why I'm here, in Holland. And I think it will be memorably to experience the life of different countries and to learn its traditions. It will give me the opportunity to feel myself like a part of another culture living in your place.

Interests

My hobby is reading, photography. My favorite kinds of sport are volleyball, swimming and running. I like very much biking. I learnt to ride on the bicycle by myself at the age of 5 years old. I like dancing a lot. It makes me feel really happy.
The important part of my life is volunteering. I supported to arrange charity events, helping special schools for children from needy families and disabled children in gathering of things, toys and stationery.

I'm here, in Holland!!!! And it was really crazy idea which came in my mind one happy day. I decided to change all. Is it not amazing?!

Due to my job I have taught public speaking lessons for adults and children. I can teach you in what ways you can do your voice louder or lower that your speech seems more important or meaningful. And some funny story about my experiments :-) .
