About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To enjoy life through relationships and personal connection and to enjoy every beautiful place the world has to offer.
ABOUT ME
I am working for West Virginia University Extension Service as a 4-H Agent. Last year, I finished a term as an AmeriCorps VISTA at a historic preservation non-profit. I studied abroad during grad school in Estonia and Poland and a summer in Germany during undergrad. I just finished 4 years on an international student alumni board, so I got to travel Europe (and the world) a lot. I love my beautiful state of West Virginia but also love seeing the world.
PHILOSOPHY
"If you're twenty-two, physically fit, hungry to learn and be better, I urge you to travel - as far and as widely as possible. Sleep on floors if you have to. Find out how other people live and eat and cook. Learn from them - wherever you go." - Anthony Bourdain
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Only a little bit of couchsurfing so far, but it's all been very positive. The world needs more personal connections with people and their places.
Interests
Outdoor activities -- hiking, camping, swimming, biking, canoe and kayaking, soaking up the sun. Traveling, of course, and I really love to cook, especially authentic and local.

Music, Movies, and Books
How can I even begin to make a list?
I'm mostly open to anything that is well-done and thought-provoking. I love podcasts -- This American Life, Planet Money, Reply All, Radio Lab, TED Radio Hour... they get me through most road trips.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think "amazing" is subjective, but I've done some things that are amazing to me -- like snorkeled with sea turtles in Hawaii, sang karaoke with my Korean friends in Daegu, attended midnight mass in Poland on Easter, walked through Auschwitz and a clear, cool day, rode a bicycle to an island crater in Estonia and then ate pumpkin soup. I once has a conversation and realized each person in the group was from a different continent...
Teach, Learn, Share
I say, always a local point you to the best coffee, food, and bar and you'll always be set in a city.
