ABOUT ME

I'm just a happy person who loves everything. I'm really enthusiastic about life in general, but especially travelling. I want to see the world! (obviously). I love to learn and teach, I really enjoy stimulating debates and discussions. I may well be a bit TOO optimistic and overconfident, but I'm certain that's a good way to be (until it gets me killed) =p I kinda thrive on adversity.

PHILOSOPHY

I can't say this without sounding cliche and lame, but: life is a series of moments and you should make as many positive ones as you can. Be happy and make others happy, as much as possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted a few years ago while I was living in Istanbul and absolutely loved it. I met some really amazing people and learnt many interesting things. I also got very inspired for my next big adventure (when time comes to embark upon it)!

Interests

I love all things creative; writing, crafts/art, DIY.. I appreciate music and choreography, although I have no personal skill in those areas, unfortunately (maybe someday!). I enjoy immersing myself in a fictional book occasionally but my reading usually revolves around learning and researching. I love playing games; chess, backgammon, cards, okey, computer games, Kinect games. I also love puzzles, but riddles always defeat me.

Music, Movies, and Books

This could take forever. I like most things, I'll watch any old sh*t tbh. I love comedies though (Dodgeball, Blades of Glory, anything by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, Bruno.. too many to keep going)

I like loads of kinds of music.. Rock, Ska-punk, classical, pop, some UK hip-hop.. I'm happy to listen to whatever someone else wants to.

I'm fond of lots of books but I will always recommend the Harry Potter series to people. I started reading them in my mid-twenties and they're shockingly well-written.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Reaching Lands End (England) at sunset, after walking (and camping) the entire length of Britain (1000m/1700km) .. Seriously, indescribable tranquility. I've experienced a fair amount of cool stuff but I've never felt like that in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I generally like learning anything but I tend to be a bit impatient with practical/dexterous things and often yield to the '**** it, that'll do..' principle of craftsmanship.

I studied textile art and design at university, so I know a bunch of techniques related to that. I'm good at making things, albeit a bit haphazardly. I'm pretty good at solving problems of all kinds
