About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to escape the city for a bit
ABOUT ME
A native New Yorker (Manhattanite), I now live in Paris, where I moved after I graduated from college last year. I'm currently a freelance writer working mainly on book reviews. I'm drawn to cities--it's an inevitable consequence of my childhood--but I want to break out of my urban bubble. When I do make it into nature, mountains are my preferred landscape.

Music, Movies, and Books
Selection from my iTunes Top 25 Most Played: "No Intention" by the Dirty Projectors; "Don't Ask for the Water" by Ryan Adams; "Heartbeats" by the Knife; Partita #3 in E by Bach. Lately, I've been listening to a lot of baroque music. I'd like to make a cover album of "Blood on the Tracks."
Favorite books I've read over the past few months: Pale Fire (Nabokov); Blood Meridian (McCarthy); Waiting for the Barbarians (Coetzee); Birds of America (Moore).
Films: Les Enfants du Paradis; The Graduate; A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum
