About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learn, smile, be mindful and discover!
ABOUT ME
I am a Chemical Engineer working in logistics. I'm a simple and easy going girl, also clean, very respectful and open-minded. I like to have good times with my husband, family and friends. I love to be in the outdoors, camping, biking, hiking, etc. I have a regular yoga practice and am currently pursuing a Yoga Teacher Training to have a teacher certification, but mostly to deepen my own practice and understands better the history and life philosophy of the yoga, which is much more than the postures we use to know about this activity.
I am very curious about the people, about the different lifestyles and cultures, and I love to learn new things and live new experiences. Oh and I love food!
I am very conscious about the current planet situation and do the best I can to each day make choices that are more sustainable for the planet. I bike and walk the most I can instead of taking my car, I buy less stuff, only what I really need and I choose wisely and according to my values. My husband and I will fly from Montreal to Hawaii for the holidays which is not very good for the planet due to the gas consumption, however we will pay our carbon tax to compensate this action.
PHILOSOPHY
Everything happens for a reason.
Be grateful. Be kind. Do your best. Get out of your comfort zone.
There is no planet B.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My husband and I traveled Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar) for 4 months in 2014 and it is at that moment that I discovered couchsurfing. I love the couchsurfing concept because I think this is a way to travel differently, meet new people and have a more authentic experience about the place we are visiting.
We are not currently available for hosting as we are living in a tiny apartment but we will probably move quickly and have hosting possibility.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We were hosted for 2 nights in Yogakarta, Indonesia, 2014. No major travels were made since then so this is my only experience.
