ABOUT ME

I'm a creative-thinking, free spirit. I like to go out all night, but wake up early to explore the daytime sights. I insist on walking everywhere. And I enjoy spending time with loving, open-minded people from all walks of life.

After graduating university, I spent a year in Italy soaking up the culture and running around with bambini as an English camp tutor and aupair. It wasn't long after returning to the US that I found myself back on a plane across the ocean. I lived in Prague teaching at an International School for a year. And now I'm TEFL-certified to be a nomad. Looking to explore the world and learn from the beautiful people and places around me. Let's share some good stories, food, and drinks :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed for the first time August 2014. After I finished English camp, I met my friend in Ireland and we stayed with a host in Inis Mor. It was an amazing experience, being treated so hospitably with nothing expected in return. I'm not capable of hosting at the moment, but when I am back in the States with my own place I would definitely consider opening my couch up to fellow travelers who want to learn a little more about American culture and share their stories.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Caught a sand shark in Cape Cod, Massachusetts (and promptly threw it back)
Floated down the Merced River in Yosemite
Stained my hands purple picking blueberries with my host family on an Austrian mountainside
Ran through woods and vineyards in the Italian countryside
Got lost in various places
Did not get into Berghain.
happened upon two live bears, and several taxidermied ones, at the only 24-hour bar in Plitvice
