Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am mainly interested in group events in my current city (New York) and in places I travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During a solo trip to Florence I went to many couchsurfing events to meet friends to do fun activities with.

In high school I hosted several German and Colombian girls for a month at a time. One German girl was shocked that Americans skim their milk but don't carbonate their water.

My former partner and I spent three weeks with an 85-year-old painter in Manhattan. He told amazing stories. We did a lot of cooking with him and he has remained a special part of our lives.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I helped a Japanese high school basketball team carry a shrine through a village in order to placate a water god living inside the shrine.
