CURRENT MISSION

Gonna be traveling through Central and South America for the next 10 months! Attempting to have as much fun and adventure as possible.

My name is Xandra, but if I'm speaking Spanish I will probably be going by 'Ale/Alita'. I'm an adventurer and a people person by nature. I've done a fair bit of traveling, but this is my first big trip I'm carving out on my own.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm going to be surfing on your couch, ideally. But I can and will cook, clean, buy drinks, provide great conversation, and be incredibly gracious and helpful.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I once hosted a British guy for a friend who was part of couchsurfing, but realized to late that she couldn't host this guy. It was awesome! My other good friends have been hosts and had incredible experiences.

Música, películas y libros

I love hip hop, rap, bounce music, anything out of New Orlean's, soul, reggae, ska, cumbia, ANYTHING YOU CAN DANCE TO. I'm into all kinds of stuff, but music that inspires movement is my favorite. I was raised by a huge music geek, so I am always happy to get into music.

I love all kinds of books, but the Harry Potter series is an obvious and easy one to list.

I like movies that make me laugh. But I do love the film Y Tú Mama Tambien.

Also I absolutely LOVE Cartoons! Miyazaki films, Adventure Time, and a lot more.

Spending the night on a houseboat in Kerala. I can't even get into how idyllic it was

I can teach about dogs, I am kind of a dog whisperer. I can dance. I can cook. I can talk about astrology! I can talk and teach about intersectionality and feminism. I can teach about human sexuality, safe sex and sexual health.
