Aomori's not a place that most people get to see when they visit Japan, so I'm happy to share such a great place with those who make the trek up north!

I've only couchsurfed once, but it was an awesome experience, and now I'm looking to help out fellow travelers.

Interests

My first love is traveling; I absolutely love seeing new places. I was born in America, have lived in Germany, and currently live in Japan.

I love to cook and eat mostly any kind of food. I'm also a huge geek (Joss Whedon, Doctor Who, and Game of Thrones reign supreme) who loves the outdoors.

Music, Movies, and Books

Huge fan of indie and alternative rock. Muse is my favorite band, but I love everything from Rage Against the Machine to Elbow to Sigur Ros to Kaizers Orchestra to Franz Ferdinand.

I've been a voracious reader my entire life, too. I grew up on Harry Potter, and while my first love is definitely fantasy (George RR Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire is my go-to example), I'll read just about anything, so long as it's good quality.
