ABOUT ME

Hello!! I just graduated from college and am currently on the hunt for a full time job! I studied abroad in London in 2011 and I would give anything to go back! I experienced things I only dreamed about before. I'm fascinated by differences in cultures and I think the best way to learn about a new culture is to just dive head first right into it. I love to cook and bake, and trying out new cuisine is always at the top of my list when I visit somewhere new. I'm extremely close to my friends and family, but absolutely loved the chance to be independent in London and learn something about myself every day. I'm planning to continue exploring different countries.. forever!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed twice while studying abroad. Once in Paris (March 2011), and once in Venice (April 2011). They were both the most insanely fun and eye-opening experiences I've ever had. I can't imagine having traveled to either city and having even half as much fun without couch surfing. I know every experience is different, but to be able to get a taste of the local culture and young life through the eyes of someone who's lived there forever is priceless. I learned a crazy drinking game in Paris, and taught our hosts Flip Cup, I'll never forget it. In Venice I got a twisty turny tour of the beautiful streets, and got introduced to spritz! I can only hope to have more of these amazing experiences in the future.

Interests

I love Family & Friends, meeting new people, traveling, cooking, eating/drinking, having fun! I'm interested in many types of music, and am always open to learning about new bands/styles. I bake often and would love to have a bakery some day. Traveling is my favorite thing in the world, and I hope to have a job internationally someday as well.

Zoolander, Wedding Crashers, A Knights Tale, Finding Nemo, Fight Club, Despicable Me.

I love hearing new music but my favorites are Mumford & Sons, Phoenix, The Shins, The Head and the Heart, The Black Keys, Coldplay, Bon Iver, just to name a few. And songs to dance to, of course!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In London I waited for 4 hours to get into a sold out (and very intimate) Mumford and Sons gig in Camden. It was one of the best concerts I've ever seen.

In Florence I spent hours at Piazzale Michelangelo watching the sun set with some friends, and a bottle of wine. Perfect moment.
