About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live with an open mind and an open heart. To live with ambition.

ABOUT ME

I originally come from Upstate New York but have rarely stayed in one place for more than a year at a time. Ukrainian by blood - I've made a point in my life to be on the move and learn from some of the more extreme experiences I could find. My curiosity drives me. I spent time living in Trieste, Italy and also in Amazonian Ecuador, as well as in NY, NC, CO, DC, and Maine in the U.S. of A.

PHILOSOPHY

To engage in the present fully, no matter what context I may be living in.

Interests

I enjoy writing and reading, dancing, anything physical and involved in adventure, snowboard/skiing, cooking and wine. Capoeira and West Coast Swing are large parts of my life and passion. I also Latin dance, kizomba/zouk, ballet as well. I am most curious about linguistics and consistently seek to expand both my language base and understanding of language in context. My anthropological studies underlie many of my curiosities in addition to feeding my fire to travel and host both international and local guests.

Music, Movies, and Books

I prefer Spanish and French film and literature, but have favorites of all genres and origin. I listen to music from classical and neo-classical to deep house, hip-hop, acoustic, flamenco, new age. I am excited by local music - particularly in a language I am learning. If I had to choose a record to put on my stereo right now it would be Tons do Brasil (A compilation of bossa hits from the 60's.. love it!)

Teach, Learn, Share

Trading knowledge and skill is inherent and rather unique to humans - I like to maximize both how much I share & how much I learn.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, Ecuador, France, Italy, Mexico, Monaco, Russian Federation, Slovenia, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

Ecuador, Italy, United States
