About Me

Hello new friends!

I'm a circus artist and business owner currently living in Bristol with my wife and our two cats. We moved here in June for my wife's work, so are just beginning to get settled. I perform and do consulting work in the food industry. My wife has her PhD in Food Science and Biotechnology, and is working with foodborne pathogens.

As a couple, we love cooking and trying new recipes, playing board games, crafting, or setting up a hammock and reading together. On our own, I'm a very active person and love doing things - hiking, taking dance classes, rock climbing, anything and everything. My wife is a huge fan of anime and Pokemon (yes, I married a nerd and I love it).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm mostly on couch surfing to meet new people when I travel. I love the idea of traveling involving an aspect of staying with someone who lives in the place and meeting them, rather than just staying at an AirBNB or motel room.

I also host because I can travel without leaving the house, which I love. I love meeting new people and hearing their live stories!

My first experience ever couchsurfing was in New Zealand, and I was hooked! It is a great way to meet so many interesting people, and I look forward to continue surfing! I've couch surfed by myself and with friends, in NZ, Australia, Canada, and the US. I look forward to one day having a big enough home that I can host couch surfers as well.

Interests

I'm very active and outdoorsy, and love hiking and running and all things outside. I also am super crafty, and love repurposing things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Doing the Able Tasman tramp was one of the best experiences I've had with nature. The scenery was beyond incredible, and I'd never tramped for that long before, so that was quite an experience.
