PHYLOSOPHIE

"We can roll with the changes, or have changes roll over us." by Patrick Regan. Here I have to add, that I generally don't like changes, notwithstanding the fact that changes are a continuous part of our life. Although I try to live according to the first part of the phrase, lately the second part happens to me... and I don't like it at all... but it is really hard to "roll with the changes".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been a member of a theatre group during high school. We performed our plays in three different years in Lübeck, Germany. The first time I stayed at a member of the theatre group from Germany. He stayed afterwards at my place. The following year I stayed once again - with a friend of mine, who was also a member of the theatre group - at his place. And the third year I stayed together with other three friends of mine at a former member of the German theatre group.
I have been at a school exchange in Saffron Walden, Essex, England. There I stayed with a friend of mine at the place of a girl. She had been in Sighisoara a year before and stayed at my place.
I heard of CouchSurfing from a friend of mine, who hosted two couch surfers from England. Afterwords I have been together with him, with another friend of mine and with my boyfriend for a weekend in Vienna and we couch surfed there. We met another host and other two couch surfers, who couch surfed at the same place as we did. It was a great experience! That is why I joined the CS group and since then I met other great people through CS.

Interests

Theatre, riding the bicycle, reading, watching movies, festivals, travelling, hiking, playing volleyball (though I have to mention here, that I haven't played since some months...and before that I used to play more and more rarely, but I really like it), swimming, spending time with friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While I was leaving with the plane from Budapest to Berlin I saw a girl (between 8 and 10) with her mother in the plane. It was most probably the first time that the girl was in a plane. As the plane took off one could see a mixture of happiness, excitement and fear in her face, while she was holding tight her mothers hand. This combination of opposite feelings made the girls face and eyes gradually shining more and more as the plane was lifting up. It was amazing to see how easy someone can get really happy within seconds.
