About Me

CURRENT MISSION

hmmmm...

ABOUT ME

I am a passionate student of life! I love to travel, listen to music and sing, make art (drawing, photography, glass beadmaking...), discuss with folks of all ages and walks of life. I am an avid reader, I study languages and anthropology, which I chose because it touches so many subjects: history, religion, geography, ecology, biology, art, literature, philosophy...
I like to be tranquille on a beach or in a park with a book; I like to party and dance; I like to make a delicious meal for friends, or eat out pas cher. I love food and wine, gardening, discovering beautiful coins du monde.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to appreciate and learn something from all those I encounter. I feel lucky when I am surrounded and stimulated by diverse languages, ideas, and cultures. It is hard not to become jaded and disillusioned in this cruel world, but I my faith is always renewed by beautiful people and places. I hope to maintain compassion, patience, and enthusiasm and to contribute to the beauty I see in this world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just joined couchsurfing, and I think it's a wonderful idea! I am looking forward to a continuing participation.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed in Prague, Ravenna, Marseille, and Barcelona. My hosts made such a difference in the overall fun of my travels, and meeting other couchsurfers was amazing, too! At home in Seattle I think I could be a good couch surfing host. I love my city and know it well, as well as the surrounding region. It would be wonderful to have the opportunity to share that with some fellow adventurers. Many cool individuals have made all the difference for me in my experiences, so I think CS is a wonderful idea!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was travelling in a beat up Toyota van from Seattle to San Francisco, I dreamed one night while sleeping in the redwood forest of a green field where there was a herd of elk, most of them laying down, and some standing... the next day, just south of the redwoods, I saw them, exactly as in my dream. I shouted "Pull over!" and I went to look at them, and some of them looked at me. That's all, but, to me, really something else.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English, French, glass beadmaking, some botany, a couple of songs at least, as well as some totally eclectic and esoteric connaissances! I am interested in learning so give me your schpiel!
