ABOUT ME

As far back as I can remember I've dreamed of traveling and experiencing all the exotic cultures the world has to offer. Every time I get out of my comfort zone to visit a new location, I seem to awaken my wanderlust even more. I'm a journalist and a budding photographer and I hope my career takes me across the world.

PHILOSOPHY

As cliche as it is, I really do think a stranger is a friend you haven't met yet and I wish people weren't so afraid of the world and the people in it. Yes, there is evil out there but we shouldn't live our lives afraid of the 'what ifs.' I'm all about spontaneity and letting your intuition be your guide. Life is too short to waste it away in your hometown. Go explore!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted a few people at my house and taken them to parties with my friends, Hollywood while I went to work, and I have even ended up couchsurfing with one of my guests to the Santa Barbara wine country. I've couch surfed in almost every country I've traveled to and I think it's the best way to get an authentic feel for a place because you see them through the eyes of the people living there.

I'm interested in literature, music, photography, cooking, good conversation, interesting people, new and eye-opening experiences, seeing the world, experiencing cities from a local's point of view, film, documentaries, yoga, meditation, love, philosophy, art, beauty, nature and good times.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

After studying abroad in Athens one summer I fell in love with the place and had to come back the next year. We were only in the city one night after spending two weeks island hopping. It happened to be the one night out of the month when the Acropolis was open for free after dark because of the full moon. It was amazing seeing the city and ruins I loved in a whole different light (or lack thereof). Traveler's luck does exist and I'm so grateful every time it happens!
