About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Change the world... for the better. "What you do for yourself alone dies with you ... what you do for others and the world remains and is immortal"
ABOUT ME
I recently graduated with a B.Sc. in biology, and minors in psychology and chemistry. I would like to study evolutionary biology and ethology in the future. I am very outgoing and am always up for an adventure. I am the definition of a people person and love to be around/meet new people.
PHILOSOPHY
"Blessed are the curious for they shall have adventure"
"I'll sleep when I'm dead"
"We need to travel. If we donât offer ourselves to the unknown, our senses dull. Our world becomes small and we lose our sense of wonder. Our eyes don't lift to the horizon; our ears don't hear the sounds around us. The edge is off our experience, and we pass our days in a routine that is both comfortable and limiting. We wake up one day and find we have lost our dreams in order to protect our days. Donât let yourself become one of these people. The fear of the unknown and the lure of the comfortable will conspire to keep you from taking the chances the traveler has to take. But if you take them, you will never regret your choice. To be sure, there will be moments of doubt when you stand alone on an empty road in an icy rain, or when you are ill with fever in a rented bed. But as the pains of the moment will come, so too will they fall away. In the end, you will be so much richer, so much stronger, so much clearer, so much happier, and so much better a person that all the risk and hardship will seem like nothing compared to the knowledge you have gained."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have been hosting for the last few months and absolutely LOVE it. I have been really lucky to meet some fun, interesting people. Some of whom I will never forget :)
I just returned home from Europe (where I Cs'ed with some wonderful surfers), and would like to host until my next adventure!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I want to travel, but have never really had the opportunity. I am going to be studying abroad in Italy in the spring of 2013, and I hope to make the most of my time outside the United States by couch surfing.
Before I head out for this great adventure, I will be staying Chicago. I would like to meet CS members, and hopefully make connections before I go to Italy so I have someone to visit! If you are in the Chicago area hit me up :)
Interests
I love music and foreign films. I like to take walks and talk, try new foods, science, reading, bucket lists, adventures, dancing, soccer, backpacking, kayaking, rock climbing, biking, surviving, the outdoors. I take any opportunity I can to learn. Animals are the best thing in the world.
