About Me

ABOUT ME:

Hi there! My travel obsession kicked off when I was sent to China at 15, not speaking much English or Chinese (my parents have a great sense of humor!). I managed to survive and fell in love with the Asian lifestyle. Although I originally wanted to study Chinese, life had other plans, and I graduated from Moscow State University as a Middle East specialist. Later, I earned my master's degree in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

I've been living in Indonesia since 2019, a place that's deepened my love for art, scuba diving, and of course, traveling. For me, traveling isn't just about ticking off tourist spots—it's about broadening horizons, learning about different cultures, and expanding my view of the world.

I'm also an artist, always finding ways to merge creativity with travel. One day, I hope to explore South America with just a backpack and an open mind.

Happy to connect and share experiences!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most memorable experiences I’ve had was when a friend and I crossed five Indonesian islands in a month—Java, Bali, Lombok, Sumbawa, and Flores—all on a scooter. We packed light: just two backpacks, a tent, and a sense of adventure, covering 4000 km in total. Along the way, we got lost in the jungle and ended up staying with locals, who welcomed us like family. Their kindness left a lasting impact, reminding me that every traveler deserves a warm, open door.

Later, I spent a couple of weeks at a secluded Buddhist temple in Northern Bali, where speaking or even making eye contact was prohibited. It was a profound time of silence and meditation, completely focused on inner stillness. That trip not only opened my heart to the kindness of strangers but also to the power of stillness and reflection.
