About Me
Back from a year of traveling through south America, with a few great experiences on CS. With my boyfriend we hope to send back the elevator (? not sure if it exists in english...) to some others travelers, and continue to experience that special mood of journey and exploration
By the way, "I" refer to Alex, the one in orange, the one on yellow is Simon
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's a mix a many reasons : to meet local people and sometime visit the cities with them wich is the best way to do it, because you can learn from others people/culture/ way of thinking, it might not be the best reason but also because it's a cheap way to travel when you're backpacking. In any case we prefer to do some groceries in order to cook you something great than spending it in a hostel.
I guess it's also because we met really great people while doing CS, I hope to keep with that luck and be a good host back in Paris.
Interests
I'm slowly learning to appreciate hiking and trekking.
Mainly because the landscapes of south America are amazing, and really worth the pain.
But what I prefer overall would be spending the night eating good stuff and cheese, drinking wine and talking about whatever come to our mind.
If you're a gamer be it on console or board or cards, we will totally get along. But just no poker, I just can't get it right

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a fan of science-fiction and fantasy, well mostly SF these late years. I also really like comics (more a marvel fan than a DC one, but i won't slap my door on you just for that).
Obviously i also red shitloads of dramaplay.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Experience the really short night during asutral summer in Ushuaïa
Seeing a whale and her baby a few meters away while in Ladrilleros en Colombia.
Passing our Open Water Dive certificate in Taganga, Colombia.
Doing some wild camping on the Uruguayan Coast, and seing the stars and the sunset.
Sleeping in chinchorros (hammacks) at the extreme north of South America, Punta Gallinas Colombia
Hiking in the Aconcagua National Park, and not molest the duck (you definitely need to go there !), in Argentina.
Seeing the sunrise, on Titicaca Lake from the Sun Island, Bolivia
Teach, Learn, Share
Teaching :
We both like cooking, and we have a really different style of cooking, if you want to learn some French classics or some more international food would be a pleasure to teach you.
We both work in administration work, doing gestion or management. It's not that funny but of you need some skills of this kind we can share some advices and tips.
Simon is pretty handy and good at gardening, might be useful at some point.
