I'm taking a year off to write a book and travel. I want to live in places rather than being constantly on the move. I want to meet people and get to know them.

Couchsurfing is a new experience for me. I had a fantastic trip to Brasil last summer and was invited by many people to stay at their place. It was so fantastic that I only want to travel like that from now on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I stayed for 10 days in an Afro-brasilian community in Minas Gerais through a friend's family. Although they didn't have much money they were incredibly generous, offering lunch, dinner, a bed to sleep in with open hearts. I didn't know how to thank them. In the end I cooked a big French dinner and we invited all the families of the valley.
