ABOUT ME

I am a transylvanian in pennsylvania, i guess ohio now.. never mind. I enjoy talking to foreigners and getting to know other cultures. In college, my three best friends were Croatian, Bulgarian and Trinidadian. At some point I counted the number of countries I knew people from and the number was over 40. Let's see, what else...
Oh, I love islay scotch and usually have at least a few bottles of really good stuff in my apartment. I also have a front porch with tables and chairs on which I sometimes relax, sipping on scotch or having a beer.

PHILOSOPHY

I am a very open minded person and willing to listen to anybody. My main philosophy is to be kind because you never know what struggles someone else is undergoing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted several times so far, and am continuing to do so. I'm honestly surprised by how many requests I have been getting recently. Who knew Pittsburgh is a place people want to visit?

I have not yet used it when I myself am travelling, but I plan to do that next time I go back to Europe.

Interests

Oh boy, too much to list:
Art, playing guitar, playing basketball, finding cool bars, scotch, good beer (usually IPA), hiking, snowboarding, reading physics education literature, and actual literature (although got little time for that), visiting art museums, jazz fests, concerts in general, board games, and other things which do not come to mind right now

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh, I don't know. In terms of comedy shows I watched pretty much everything, although I don't really do that anymore. I really like Arrested Development, Flight of the Conchords, The Life and Times of Tim, Trailer Park Boys and Archer. Other shows I really like are Boardwalk Empire, The Wire, Treme and The Corner.

Books: love dostoyevsky and garcia marquez, and other Romanian authors you probably haven't heard of.

Music: I listen to a lot of things, too many to list. I also play guitar, and have two of them, so if you are down to jam let's do it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hawaii is amazing! I have a friend who lives there and we went on the most amazing hikes. Look up "stairway to heaven". Jealous? It's okay, you should be.
Other things, I don't know, I like travelling in general, I enjoyed a Caribbean cruise recently, that was pretty awesome. I have a friend with a beach house in NJ, and that's always fun.
