ABOUT ME
I grew up in the beautiful city of Cape Town (Western Cape, South Africa), and moved to Grahamstown (in another province of S.Africa, about a 12-hour drive away) almost four years ago to study.
When I've completed my degree I plan to move back to Cape Town for a time, then travel and work overseas - hopefully doing documentaries.
PHILOSOPHY
Er.
Know yourself first. Be honest. Live your life as if Charles Bukowski was going to sum it up in one line.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have only been an active member of CS for about a month, and hosted one guest so far, but I plan to host many more and hopefully surf myself when I start traveling in the next year or so.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm very new to this and have only hosted one person so far (who was an absolute treat!), but I really enjoy meeting different people and experiencing other cultures so I would love to continue.
Interests
I'm an enthusiast in photography and writing (about to finish my degree in Photojournalism), puns/wordplay/Shakespeare (I'm also an English Lit major), gender studies, cats & carrot cake.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a lot of different music, but I'm currently stuck on Pink Floyd's Division Bell album. Absolute genius. I'm generally a fan of most rock genres, some metal, a lot of indie/folk.
I love books. I love poetry. I'm mildly dismissive of people who don't share a love or appreciation of reading. Impossible to list all my favourite authors/series/novels but a few include: JK Rowling (Harry Potter), Shakespeare, John Green (Fault in our Stars), Sylvia Plath (The Bell Jar), George Orwell (Animal Farm), Patrick Süskind (Perfume), Margaret Mitchell (Gone with the Wind), Stephen King, Terry Pratchett, Roald Dahl, Charles Bukowski...
I also love movies, and series. Especially ones that screw with your mind, like Inception. I like thrillers, dramas, horrors. But can also enjoy silly romcoms or chick flicks when I'm in the mood, if the humour is dry enough.
Teach, Learn, Share
I suppose I can offer photography or different music, but mostly good conversation, opinions and the like.
