Hey! I'm Alex, a 22 year old vegan living in the amazing and beautiful city of Vilnius, Lithuania.

I love to travel, cook, ride my bike and (badly) play my guitar.

I work as a freelance photographer right now, and my last job was as a chef in a vegan restaurant here in Vilnius.

I have couch-surfed only one time in the past, back in 2013. That was with a great couple called Erik & Jerry in Ieper, Belgium.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because it's a great way to connect to like minded people, and hopefully build friendships and potentially have a place to stay and people to hang out with whenever I visit a new place :)

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music is pretty varied, but I'd say David Bowie will always be special for me. I also love The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Rod Stewart, The Faces. Yeah, those kind of 60's/70's bands and musicians. Oh, and I can play some Proclaimers on guitar, which is always fun.

1984 by George Orwell is fantastic and I seriously recommend it if you are yet to read it. I'm fascinated by North Korea, so I have read various books around the subject. Books like 'Nothing To Envy' and 'The Real North Korea' by Barbara Demick and Andrei Lankov, respectively, are absolute favourites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent months volunteering at an animal sanctuary in northern Thailand. Beautiful and eye opening experience.
