Overview
About Me
I'm just a guy trying to figure out more about myself and the world.
Up until recently I had lived my whole life in New Zealand. I moved to Berlin in late October to live and work :)
I'm always trying to improve myself but also find myself from time to time hiding in the shade of the comfort-zone, sometimes for too long.
Ultimately I'm looking to be a part of something meaningful where I'm making a difference. Not necessarily saving the world, but an endeavour where my strengths and passions line up with a need, working with similar minded people towards something greater than myself.
It could be entrepreneurship or something in the performing arts, the search continues.
Watch this space!
I love sharing thoughts, ideas and feelings with others - creating something better together than we had by ourselves. I'm on a lifelong journey to discover more about myself and the world, and everyone I meet is an important part of that.
Deep conversation over tea is my jam, so let's go there buddy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here to connect with others.
Because I've spent 100% of my life thus far living in one country, I want to see the world - more importantly, the lovely people within it! On recommendations from friends about how much better CS is for cultural exchange, I created an account.
Interests
I have too many hobbies and not enough time.
Creatively, on the performing arts side I'm into singing, dancing and most recently - acting/improv! I've recently started a blog at alexfindsmeaning.wordpress.com if you'd like more of an insight :)
Fitness is also an important part of my life, which is mostly lifting and running these days.
I used to be a huge gamer but nowadays I can't seem to find much time for that, so it's mostly board-games with friends.

Teach, Learn, Share
I'm ALWAYS keen to improve my German/Chinese or help you improve your English (or German/Chinese if you're REALLLLLY beginner, haha)
I'd love a chance to sing with you or play the guitar (poorly) or the piano (mediocrely)
What's your philosophy on life? I want to learn about it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My own unique perspective. I will be open, genuine and bring myself fully to the conversation and our interactions.
