About Me

Hello!

Since September 2023, I became a "digital nomad", trying it for a few months before settling down somewhere else! Feel free to contact me if you're around! I'll be in South East Asia mostly. Now, in Bangkok, Thailand until June.

Looking for traveling or writing buddies :)

I'm a French writer and teacher exploring the world.
If you're interested by books and chocolate in French, here you can purchase my last book:

Or follow my social media:

I like to spend my free time to go to the theatre, cinema, concerts while I am in the city.
And when I am in the countryside, I like hiking in the mountains, swimming, scuba diving, enjoying the nature.

In both cities and countryside, I love eating :) I am always curious of discovering new tastes and always in for an ice cream or bean-to-bar chocolate.

I wrote children books. My first one was published in 2014 in Guadeloupe (French Caribbeans where I lived before). I published 6, and 1 is coming out in 2023/2024.
I am also working on a novel in English.

I quit my work as a statistician in September 2014 to get a new masters degree at la Sorbonne to be a French as a foreign language teacher. Then, I have been a French teacher in South Korea for 2 years, then in Casablanca, Morocco for 3 years and now in Abu Dhabi, Emirates for 1 year. Now, I'm teaching only online or maybe I'll accept some short term missions in different countries!

I have a black cat, Diego, very cute and friendly, 11 years old this year! I love him! He's now in Abu Dhabi until June with my friend.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been on CS for 15 years now.

During two years in Rennes, France, we hosted a lot of people. We used to live in the very historic center of the city and I was quite good at architecture to make a nice walk downtown with my guests.

Then, we tried a new style of life for years in Guadeloupe, published my first books, met friends that became family and now Guadeloupe is my true home town. I go back as often as I can.

A nice couchsurfer hosted us when we first arrived and helped us fitting well while looking for a flat.

We moved to a new flat in Paris for 2 years and we were still very happy to host people even if it was just a studio :)

Then I moved to South Korea in September 2016 and was looking forward to get a couch and host again and again... But Gunsan seems not to be attractive... I didn't get many guests

Then Casablanca, Morocco for 3 years but during the pandemics!

Then I lived in Abu Dhabi for a year.

Now, we are in Bangkok.

If it's just for a stay-over, you arrive late and you leave early, you're going to have to convince me hard, because I will think i'm just a free hotel for you. You can bribe me with good food from your country though, I'm a foodie.

I think CS makes the world a better place to live in, but please don't ruin it by taking and never giving.
So many people nowadays want to be hosted but don't host themselves. Or claim to travel for free but be conscious that we're all part of the same world, and yes hitchhiking is great but someone is paying for the gas and car, yes, couchsurfing is great but someone is paying for the rent, gas, electricity, water. So nothing is really free, it's all about sharing. Pay it forward.

To fall in love

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach French and creative writing :)
I can make chocolate tasting and introduce you to bean-to-bar chocolate world!
I also love fermenting stuff, I've been doing pickles, sourdough bread, kombucha, but all this requires a few weeks at least!

I can teach how to swim as we have a swimming pool in the building.
I can also beat you at ping pong :D :D
